Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with equivalence confirmed via a Statement of Comparability from ENIC where qualifications have been gained outside the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, maintain, test, and repair complex ventilation systems, plant, control systems, and associated equipment.
- Assemble and install minor works across multiple trade disciplines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Investigate breakdowns and faults, identify root causes, and undertake remedial actions promptly.
- Liaise with external contractors and internal teams, ensuring safe working practices and adherence to policies.
- Utilise technical knowledge and skills to convey information, coordinate repairs, and work independently under pressure.
- Maintain accurate records of plant history, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
- Adhere to legislation, codes of practice, infection control, safeguarding policies, and promote a safe environment for staff and patients.
Additional Qualifications:
- Qualified to a minimum of HNC level or equivalent in a relevant building discipline or relevant NHS or healthcare facilities experience.
- Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage your workload and stay calm under pressure.
- Experience with Design and Build projects.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and COSHH.
- Trained and competent at safe isolations and verifications of NHS Healthcare Critical Ventilation Systems.
