Are you an experienced HSEQ professional looking for a role where no two days are the same?

Sodexo Live! is seeking a passionate and proactive HSEQ Advisor to join our team at the world-famous St.

James' Park, home of Newcastle United Football Club.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering safe, compliant and exceptional catering, hospitality and event experiences for tens of thousands of guests throughout the year.

From Premier League matchdays and VIP hospitality experiences to concerts and major live events, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring world-class standards across a fast-paced, high-profile venue welcoming over 52,000 fans and guests.

As HSEQ Advisor, you will be the subject matter expert for Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Food Safety across the venue.

You'll work closely with operational leaders, chefs, hospitality teams and client stakeholders to ensure compliance while driving continuous improvement and best practice.

We're looking for an experienced HSEQ professional who can confidently engage with stakeholders at every level and bring a practical, solutions-focused approach.

What You'll Do

  • Driving a positive and proactive Health & Safety culture across the venue
  • Providing professional HSEQ and Food Safety guidance to operational teams
  • Conducting audits, inspections and compliance reviews across kitchens, hospitality suites and concessions
  • Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventative actions
  • Delivering engaging training, toolbox talks and inductions to managers and frontline teams Supporting major event planning and ensuring safe operational delivery on matchdays and event days
  • Developing and maintaining risk assessments, RAMS, COSHH assessments and safe systems of work
  • Supporting food safety compliance and assisting with environmental health inspections
  • Producing insightful reports and KPI analysis to drive performance improvements
  • Building strong relationships with Newcastle United and key stakeholders to ensure seamless compliance across the venue

What You Bring

Essential

  • NEBOSH qualification (or working towards within an agreed timeframe)
  • Experience within a Health & Safety, HSEQ or Food Safety position
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance frameworks
  • Experience managing audits, inspections and compliance systems
  • Experience investigating accidents and incidents
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to analyse data and identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Level 4 Food Safety qualification, or willingness to achieve within six months

Desirable

  • Experience within stadiums, events, hospitality, catering or visitor attractions
  • IOSH, CIEH or other professional membership
  • Auditing qualifications or experience
  • First Aid qualification
  • Experience working within ISO accredited environments
  • Demonstrable success in delivering continuous improvement initiatives
