Location: Hinckley

Contract: Permanent – Part Time 27.5 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8:00pm to 1:30am

Rate of Pay: £13.71 per hour

About the Role

We're looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Food Service Assistant to join our catering team at DPD Hinckley. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy catering environment, delivering excellent customer service and being part of a supportive team. Whether you already have catering experience or are looking to develop your skills, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, present and serve food and beverages to company standards.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and operate the till during service.
  • Replenish food counters and maintain clean, well-stocked service areas.
  • Carry out cleaning duties across kitchen, dining and food preparation areas.
  • Follow food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures at all times.
  • Check deliveries, record food temperatures and complete required documentation.
  • Support the wider catering team, including assisting with special events and providing cover when needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Friendly, reliable and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Able to work well both independently and as part of a busy team.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and health & safety.
  • Previous experience in catering, hospitality, retail or customer service is desirable.
  • Till/EPOS experience and knowledge of food hygiene or COSHH are advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
