You’ll be responsible for managing your own section of the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards. What you’ll do:
- Deliver a high-quality food service to patients, visitors and colleagues
- Prepare and serve fresh food in line with company standards, food safety requirements and budget guidelines.
- Follow all health & safety, food safety and safeguarding procedures at all times.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation across all kitchen and service areas.
- Respond promptly to customer feedback, escalating concerns and taking appropriate action where required.
- Support stock security, minimise waste and report any incidents, accidents or food safety concerns.
- Work flexibly to support the team, including covering absences, attending training and assisting with special events when needed.
What you bring:
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) and Food Safety certificates (level 3 desired)
- Experience preparing and cooking fresh food in a catering, hospitality or healthcare environment.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Excellent punctuality, attendance and time management skills.
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and efficiently.
- A strong understanding of food hygiene, health & safety and safe working practices.
- High standards of personal hygiene, cleanliness and attention to detail.
- Experience completing food safety or HACCP documentation is desirable.
