Sodexo is seeking a full-time Security Supervisor in Essex to lead our dedicated security team and ensure the highest standards of protection for our site, people, and assets. In this pivotal position, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate security procedures, and inspire your team to deliver excellence, keeping safety, professionalism, and customer service at the heart of everything you do.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and supervise a team of two, ensuring compliance with site assignment instructions, health & safety policies, and procedures.
  • Control site access, including gates, barriers, turnstiles, visitor/contractor passes, deliveries, couriers, and import/export drivers.
  • Monitor and secure the site through patrols, CCTV, alarm activation/deactivation, searches, and incident response.
  • Manage site operations, including reception, weighbridge duties, mail handling, telephone duties, and email correspondence.
  • Respond to emergencies such as protests, evacuations, critical alarms, and panic alarms, ensuring clear incident reporting.
  • Support additional site needs, including training, lost property, winter gritting, and other operational requirements.

What You Bring

  • A valid, in-date SIA Licence
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Proven experience as a corporate security officer or in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent observational and communication skills
  • Calm and effective response in emergency situations
  • Good understanding of security practices and procedures
