We’re currently looking for a skilled and motivated Engineering Supervisor to join our Technical Services team based at the Avery Hill Campus, University of Greenwich .
In this role, you\’ll be leading the on-site residential M&E team overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance, and playing a hands-on part in both planned and reactive maintenance. You’ll be a key point of contact for ensuring the smooth running of essential building services across the campus, working closely with our Engineering Lead, Facilities Manager, and wider Sodexo team .

What you’ll do:
- Lead and supervise a team of on-site engineers, supporting performance, training, and development
- Oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systems
- Coordinate daily operations with the Helpdesk team to ensure timely response to service requests
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies, Safe Systems of Work, and Permit to Work procedures
- Carry out routine audits to maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and documentation
- Manage subcontractors and specialist suppliers, from scheduling to quality assurance and safety checks

What you bring:
- HND or NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject
- Extensive practical experience in building services and plant engineering with formal qualifications and relevant experience within a defined discipline, e.g. electrical, mechanical or similar.
- Previous appointment as Authorised Person for one or more of the following disciplines, LV, Mechanical Services, Confined Spaces, Boiler and Pressure Systems or similar
- Experience working within or around World Heritage Listed properties, buildings and environments
- Excellent communications both written and verbal.
- Numerate and computer literate.
- Previous experience of managing a team of engineers
- Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations
- Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations
- Membership of Institute of Leadership and Management
