We currently have an opportunity for an Events Supervisor to join our amazing team. This is a great opportunity for driven individuals to succeed in a fast and innovative catering facility. Job responsibilities:
- To support the delivery of high-quality food and beverage operations across Heritage Portfolio venues and major events, ensuring exceptional guest experiences aligned with our company ethos.
- To provide hands‑on supervisory leadership across multiple sites, including The Signet Library, Dundas Castle, Musselburgh Racecourse, private events, Edinburgh Zoo, and large‑scale external events.
- To support the Operations Project Manager in maintaining operational consistency and service excellence.
- To lead and motivate front of house, bar, casual and agency teams to deliver seamless, professional and memorable events.
- To ensure all operations are compliant with food safety, allergen, licensing and Health & Safety standards.
What we are looking for:
- Previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality or event catering.
- Experience in high‑volume or premium hospitality environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams during busy periods.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and management.
- Experience handling guest complaints effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and across multiple venues.
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
Main Assignments:
- Oversee food and beverage operations during events, ensuring optimal service delivery.
- Manage and support teams on site, delegating responsibilities effectively.
- Brief casual and agency staff prior to events, ensuring clarity of roles and break allocations.
- Follow and enforce standard operating procedures to maintain quality and consistency.
- Ensure guests are served in a friendly, welcoming and efficient manner.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across front and back of house areas.
- Ensure strict adherence to allergen procedures and licensing regulations.
- Protect company assets and stock through effective supervision and control.
- Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally, escalating where appropriate.
- Support operational builds, derigs and logistical requirements where required.
What you’ll bring:
