Job Introduction

We’re looking for a Domestic Service Assistant to join our Sodexo team at Sexual Health Clinic. In this vital role, you’ll help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your work will directly support health and wellbeing throughout the hospital. What you’ll do:

• Carry out cleaning duties including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, waste removal, stock replenishment, and cleaning internal glass.
• Complete routine, discharge, and infection-control cleans to the highest standards.
• Follow cleaning schedules and complete required documentation accurately.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with COSHH, Health & Safety, and infection prevention procedures.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report any faults or safety concerns promptly.
• Remove and dispose of general and clinical waste safely and correctly.
• Monitor stock levels and support the replenishment of cleaning supplies.
• Work closely with colleagues and site teams to maintain a safe, clean, and pleasant environment.

What you bring:

• Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, standards, and safe working practices.
• Understanding of COSHH and Health & Safety requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work independently, manage your workload, and meet deadlines.
• A positive, reliable, and professional approach to work.
