Food Service Assistant to join our corporate catering team at
Crown Bevcan, Carlisle .
You'll support food preparation and service, maintain exceptional food safety and hygiene standards, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
You'll also take ownership of our weekend breakfast service, working independently to ensure everything runs smoothly.
What you'll do
- Prepare and serve breakfast and fresh food to a high standard
- Deliver weekend breakfast service independently
- Prepare and replenish the salad bar
- Set up, clean and reset dining and service areas
- Complete food safety, temperature and allergen checks
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Replenish vending machines and monitor stock levels
- Complete food safety and due diligence records
- Support sustainable waste and recycling practices
- Deliver professional customer service
- Follow all food safety, allergen and health & safety procedures
- What you'll bring
- Previous catering, hospitality or food service experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Ability to remain calm during busy service periods
- High attention to detail
- A professional, reliable and flexible approach
- Physically able to carry out catering duties, including standing for extended periods and manual handling
Desirable
- Level 2 Food Safety qualification
- Corporate or contract catering experience
- Experience completing food safety records
- Experience with stock control and vending machine replenishment
