About the Role
As Catering Manager you will oversee the daily catering operation within the school, ensuring high-quality food is prepared and served safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and serving food during break and lunchtime services
- Supporting additional catering requirements such as buffet-style meals for school events or third-party lettings
- Managing stock levels, ordering, and kitchen records
- Maintaining food safety standards and compliance with HACCP, allergen management, COSHH, and food hygiene regulations

- A catering qualification is preferred

About The School
Ysgol Gyfun Gymunedol Penweddig is a Welsh‑speaking school with approximately 600 pupils, ranging from 11 to 18 years old, supported by around 50 teaching staff. The school is easily accessible, situated on a regular bus route, and provides free on‑site car parking for staff. Lunch and morning break supervision is provided by school staff, with breakfast‑type snacks available in the morning, and a full lunch service during your shift. The school operates a cashless card payment system, allowing parents to upload money onto their children’s cards. We also offer flexible working hours within reason to help you balance work and life.
