We're seeking an SDR to act as the engine room of Socura's sales pipeline by identifying, researching, and initiating high-quality conversations with target enterprise accounts. This isn't about making hundreds of blind cold calls a day; it's about building meaningful, value-driven conversations with the right prospects using best-in-class data and technology.

The role

You will engage Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), CIOs, and IT Security Directors within mid-market and enterprise organisations to uncover challenges that Socura's managed cybersecurity services can solve. In this role, you will have the unique advantage of working alongside leading cybersecurity partners, including Google Cloud Security, Microsoft, and Palo Alto Networks.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Modern outbound prospecting: Execute multi-channel outreach strategies—combining strategic phone calls, highly personalised emails, and LinkedIn engagement—to book high-quality meetings.
  • Inbound lead qualification: Act as the first point of contact for marketing-generated enquiries, qualifying inbound interest quickly and effectively.
  • Data & account mapping: Research target organisations and map out key stakeholders, utilising advanced tools like Cognism and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to source accurate data and identify potential security pain points.
  • CRM hygiene: Maintain immaculate records within HubSpot, tracking all interactions, insights, and follow-ups to ensure a seamless handoff to Account Executives.
  • Collaborative growth: Work closely with Marketing and the SDR Team Leader to refine messaging, feedback market insights, and optimise campaign performance.

Experience and attributes required

  • Experience: Around 12+ months of proven experience in an SDR, BDR, or outbound B2B sales role.
  • Drive & resilience: A high-energy self-starter with the curiosity, ambition, and thick skin required to succeed in outbound prospecting.
  • Communication skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, with the ability to confidently articulate complex security concepts to senior corporate stakeholders.
  • Coachability: A strong desire to learn, adapt quickly to feedback from the SDR Team Leader, and collaborate with a close-knit team.
  • Tech savvy: Familiarity with modern sales tech stacks—specifically HubSpot, Cognism, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator—is highly advantageous.

Location: Cardiff, UK / Hybrid Remote (3 days per week in the office)

Remuneration & commission structure

This role offers a competitive fixed base salary paired with a dual-incentive commission structure that rewards both high activity and overall revenue impact.

  • Base salary: £30,000 per annum.
  • On-target earnings (OTE): £42,000 (Realistic first-year earning potential).
  • Commission split:
    • £50 per meeting booked that successfully qualifies and takes place.
    • 0.5% revenue share on the final contract value (ARR) of all deals closed-won from your sourced meetings (e.g £250 payout on a £50k deal; £2,500 payout on a £500k deal).
  • Uncapped upside: The commission structure is completely uncapped, directly scaling alongside your pipeline activity and closed-won business.
