Our client, a prestigious educational institution based near Oxford City Centre has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Head of Maths. Responsible for leading and developing a high performing department that delivers outstanding A-Level and IGCSE results, the successful candidate will be responsible for setting the vision, priorities and standards of the Department with the support of a Deputy Head.
The Role:
- Provide strategic leadership for the mathematics department, setting high expectations for teaching quality and academic attainment.
- Deliver outstanding teaching in maths and further maths at A-Level and IGCSE when required.
- Design and maintain an aspirational mathematics curriculum aligned with the Institutions Academic Ambitions.
- Provide targeted academic coaching to high achieving students, including Oxbridge and STEM focused applicants.
- Maintain exemplary standards in marking, feedback and record keeping.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Substantial experience teaching mathematics and further mathematics to high achieving students.
- Strong leadership potential, proven experience of team leadership.
- Passion for Mathematics education.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
