  • Work at the intersection of finance, people, and blockchain innovation.
  • Grow your career in a dynamic, international, and supportive team.

The role

We’re looking for a Global Rewards & Payroll Specialist to join our global People team. This is a unique opportunity to shape how rewards work in a fast-evolving Web3 and blockchain environment—balancing strategic compensation design (cash, equity, token) with hands-on payroll and HR operations.

You’ll be based in the UK and collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, and HRBP to ensure that our reward programs are competitive, compliant, and motivating for a diverse, distributed workforce.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Reward Design

  • Build and maintain our global pay philosophy, job architecture, and salary ranges—ensuring both market competitiveness and internal fairness.
  • Partner with Legal on equity and token-based incentives (options, vesting, liquidity/lock-up mechanics) aligned with UK and global regulatory standards.
  • Lead annual/bi-annual compensation cycles (merit, promotions, bonus, commission, market adjustments), driving insights and manager engagement.
  • Design tailored incentive frameworks (e.g., sales quotas, SPIFFs, project bonuses, on-chain bounties) with clear governance and transparency.

Operations (Hands-on Delivery)

  • Run global payroll end-to-end, monthly changes, leavers/joiners, coordinate with external payroll provider.
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity; develop dashboards and insights (compa-ratio, pay gap analysis, benefit take-up rates).
  • Support global mobility/contractor needs.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and internal controls.

Advisory & Business Partnering

  • Guide leaders on offers, retention packages, and reward communications.
  • Provide managers with training and easy-to-use tools for pay and benefits decisions.
  • Be the go-to partner for reward-related questions in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in C&B/Total Rewards, with exposure to both compensation design and operational delivery (payroll, benefits).
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese is required (required for cross-regional collaboration)
  • Hands-on experience with equity plans, and ideally exposure to token/crypto-linked incentives in Web3, fintech, or tech sectors.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and ability to translate data into clear insights;
  • A detail-oriented operator who thrives in high-change, high-growth environments.

Bonus points if you have

  • CIPP, WorldatWork, or other reward qualifications.
  • Experience in start-up/scale-up companies with distributed global teams.
  • Exposure to sales/revenue-linked compensation and quota design.
  • Familiarity with on-chain contributor rewards and vesting/lock-up best practices.
