Water Hygiene Technician - Covering Scotland (Must be willing to travel)
To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Environment and Safety Division. SOCOTEC provides a comprehensive range of water hygiene and consultancy services to help companies fulfil their legal obligations. This is an exciting opportunity for a Water Hygiene Technician to join an enthusiastic team delivering Water Hygiene / Legionella Control Services. Our network of regional offices provides national coverage, while our in-house accredited laboratories ensure the utmost integrity and quality of results.
We're looking for a Water Hygiene Technician to join an enthusiastic team, delivering water hygiene and water monitoring to our prestigious clients across Scotland. This is an entry level position and as such, relevant training will be given. Your challenge will include carrying out water monitoring and sampling activities:
- Microbiological water sampling
- Legionella temperature monitoring
- Legionella compliance inspections
- Documenting site observations
- Liaising with contractors and clients on site
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Hold Full UK driving licence and willing to travel
- Preferably to have experience in water hygiene tasks (but not essential, we are happy to train)
- Excellent organisation and time management skills to be able to work to set deadlines
- Be self-motivated and able to work alone and as part of a team in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Pass a Sentinel Medical and Network Rail Personal Track Safety (PTS) Certificate
