Building Inspector (RBI) Region 3 (Offices in Birmingham, Stoke and Leicester)

We are looking for a Building Inspector to join our Region 2 Building Control Team. The team works alongside global leading designers, project managers, developers and clients including social media and tech giants, world leading financial and legal firms and government bodies. We are seeking RBI’s across all levels who are seeking a new and rewarding career and who enjoy working within a well-structured and amazing team environment.

At SOCOTEC we can give you exposure to some of the most exciting and innovative projects. You will be working on some of the country\’s most iconic buildings such as the ‘Cheese Grater’ 22 Bishopsgate, ‘The Walkie Talkie’, the Gherkin etc, with consultants who are at the top of their profession. We have a significant number of RBI Surveyors and through supervision we can help you extend your knowledge and experience, helping with your long-term development.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Membership of RICS, CABE or equivalent (or qualified by suitable experience), ensuring CPD requirements are met thereafter to broaden and develop skills
• Ideally demonstrating compliance through registering as an RBI (all levels will be considered)
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Ability to build relationships with clients and deliver excellent client care
• A self-starting attitude and an ability to work independently as well as part of a large project team
• Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, development of suitable solutions and the implementation of these solutions
