Group Finance – Group Accountant

We are looking for a motivated, committed, and reliable Group Accountant to join our team. You will play a vital role in enhancing our company by helping to provide financial support across SOCOTEC UK. You will embody our core behaviours of integrity, curiosity, warmth, and ambition. As a member of the Finance team, it is key that you are able to work independently, as well as working efficiently as part of a team.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

  1. Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts and KPI to a high standard and to an agreed timetable.
  2. Maintaining the intercompany reconciliations and reporting to group on a monthly basis.
  3. Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts using Caseware including iXBRL tagging.
  4. Cash flow reporting and forecasting including treasury administration.
  5. Assistance with group budgeting and forecasting exercises.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  1. Accountancy and tax knowledge.
  2. Competent in Microsoft Office.
  3. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.

Based in Burton-on-Trent, SOCOTEC UK’s Head Office houses our Central Services teams. These teams provide a corporate structure to support the wider business. Central Services is broken down into four main areas: Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, Finance, and IT. Each of these areas is vital to the day-to-day running of SOCOTEC.
