As our company continues to grow, we are expanding our teams and have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Asbestos Administrator to join our Environment & Safety Division. This role offers the chance to make a real impact while representing the SOCOTEC brand with pride.
We are seeking a proactive, flexible, and highly organised individual to provide essential administrative and coordination support to our Asbestos team. You will manage a variety of day-to-day tasks while ensuring smooth communication, accurate documentation, and efficient workflows. This role is ideal for someone who thrives both independently and as part of a wider team. While your core responsibilities will remain consistent, the projects and clients you support will be diverse and evolving, providing variety and opportunities to contribute to meaningful and high-impact work.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
- Handling incoming enquiries and ensuring all relevant parties and systems are updated promptly
- Tracking and monitoring project progress
- Preparing clear, comprehensive reports
- Working closely with the Project Management team and providing full administrative support
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in an administrative role

About Asbestos: The SOCOTEC Asbestos team holds UKAS accreditation for both inspection and testing and is one of the leading asbestos consultancies in the UK. We provide all aspects of asbestos consultancy services, ensuring clients are better equipped to comply with current legislation. These services include surveying, lab analysis of samples, managing removal projects on the clients’ behalf, consultancy, policy reviews, action plans, and training. We operate out of six offices covering all areas of the UK and assist more than 300 clients on a variety of projects, from offices to military bases to hospitals. The work our Asbestos team does is vital in preventing workers from exposure to asbestos fibres, and that all of our clients operate within the asbestos regulations and wider health and safety framework.
