FIELD SERVICES OPERATIONS MANAGER

As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our Teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Field Services Operations Manager to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are looking for a proactive, reliable and flexible commercially knowledgeable Field Services Operations Manager to join our Geotechnical team. As a Field Services Operations Manager, you will oversee a team comprising drillers and site support staff, plus manage HGV services offered to in house business units based across the UK, manage a fleet of cable percussive and rotary rigs including site support plant, price and deliver external drilling works and continue the Drilling Academy where staff work towards Level 2 and Level 3 NVQs. Experience with project management, client liaison and general knowledge of the industry is important in order to succeed in this role.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
- Commercial management of the Business Unit
- Find, price and deliver external drilling contracts
- Develop and maintain a strategy to grow and drilling team and extend the capability of the drilling plant
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Commercial acumen / ability to manage a budget year on year
- Innovation with plant and people to ensure we are meeting the needs of the SOCOTEC GI business and external market
- A desire to develop staff skills and maintain their technical training
