ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD TECHNICIAN – Doncaster

As our company continues to grow, we’re expanding our Teams and are now seeking a dedicated Environmental Field Technician to join our Environment & Safety Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are looking for a reliable, flexible and committed Environmental Field Technician to join our Environmental Team. It is key that you are able to work efficiently as part of a Team, as well as independently. While you may be performing the same array of tests day to day, the projects you undertake and the locations you are working from will constantly change.
Responsibilities
- To undertake a combination of field based data collection and some office based work in relation to relevant projects.
- To contribute effectively to projects and other allocated business operations within your scope of knowledge and competence.
- To provide day to day input and support to enable the business to meet operational performance and financial targets.
- Undertaking all duties with minimal supervision, on time and to a suitable level of quality and safety.
- Day to day operational management of smaller projects as delegated to you by the team manager.
- Ensuring that all quality and health and safety requirements are complied with and that all safety and survey related equipment in your area of work is operational serviced / calibrated as necessary.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- A willingness to work outdoors in all weathers
- Hold Full UK driving licence and willing to travel
- A strong customer focused engagement style
- Be commercially aware
- Strong IT skills

Our Environmental team is made up of many different specialists all operating in within different areas of expertise. The main areas we cover are Environmental Monitoring and Consultancy together with specialist laboratories to support our services. Our services range from on site monitoring and sample collection, ranging from local businesses to large Government contracts, to consultancy works on large contaminated land projects, complimented with onsite works for dust, noise, and local exhaust emissions. We pride ourselves in our ability to consult, monitor and test for our clients, supporting all their needs in one place, using our highly trained employees.
