We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Graduate Fire Engineer to join our Building & Real Estate Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and reliable Graduate Fire Engineer to join our team, who possess a recognised fire safety engineering qualification. You will be supporting our experts across a variety of projects both autonomously and as part of a wider team, therefore it is key you are able to work efficiently as part of a team, as well as independently. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a specialised area and begin your journey with SOCOTEC.

Responsibilities
  • Develop design and construction fire safety strategies
  • Prepare fire safety assessment for external walls
  • Prepare other technical engineering analysis such as CFD Modelling, Structural Fire Engineering, Radiation Assessments etc
  • Carry out site visits when required
  • Provide fire safety advice
  • Write fee proposal letters
  • Liaise with clients on a regular basis
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in either fire engineering or a related subject with relevant experience related to fire engineering
  • Involvement with a professional body
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
