Senior Geologist

As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Senior Geologist to join our Infrastructure division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Senior Geologist to join our Coventry-based team. In this role, you’ll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A background in geotechnical disciplines, along with extensive ground investigation experience, is essential to thrive in this position.
Responsibilities
- Day to day responsibility for planning, supervision and programming of Ground Investigation projects at locations throughout the United Kingdom
- Prepare Health & Safety documentation prior to and during the site works phase, as well as assisting with the managing the Health & Safety of operatives and promoting a safe working environment
- Liaise with clients / Engineers / main contractors throughout the site works phase
- Compile monthly financial project accounts and assist the GI Projects Manager in maintaining the financial performance of projects
Qualifications
- Qualified to degree level in a geotechnical discipline
- Full UK driving licence
- Have a minimum level of fitness required to undertake all site based tasks listed above on a variety of sites including active construction sites and linear projects for roads and railways
- 5 – 10 years relevant site and industry experience
