We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Occupational Hygienist to join our Environment & Safety Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride. We are looking for a dedicated, reliable Occupational Hygienist to join our Environmental Team. As a member of the team, it is key that you have the balance to be driven and independent, as well as being a strong team player. A background in safety and exposure monitoring, as well as knowledge of the industry are essential in order to thrive in this role. The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to): Attend clients\’ operational sites to safely perform scheduled monitoring to determine occupational exposure to dust, fume, noise, vibration and other workplace health hazards Prepare detailed technical occupational hygiene reports to SOCOTEC’s high quality standards Comply with SOCOTEC’s various management systems (Health & safety, Environmental, Quality) Be proactive in maintaining your occupational hygiene continuous professional development (CPD) To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent interpersonal skills to gain the confidence and cooperation of the client’s workforce An ability to self-manage workload & deadlines Relevant BOHS / IOA qualifications A full driving licence About Environmental Our Environmental team is made up of many different specialists all operating in within different areas of expertise. The main areas we cover are Environmental Monitoring and Consultancy, and Occupational Hygiene, together with specialist laboratories to support our services. Our services range from on site monitoring and sample collection, ranging from local businesses to large Government contracts, to consultancy works on large contaminated land projects, complimented with onsite works for dust, noise, and local exhaust emissions.
