Due to the continued expansion of our portfolio of survey services, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marine Engineer to join our team in Irvine, Scotland. The role will involve the provision of effective maintenance of all boats, survey equipment and promoting the safe operation of vessels. Time will be split between working in our workshop and aboard our inshore survey vessels.

Candidate Requirements
- NC or higher-level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical)
- Previous experience with:
- Caterpillar and Cummins diesel engines & generators
- Suzuki outboard engines or similar
Key Duties:
- Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs on boats, engines, and associated equipment
- Perform routine workshop tasks, including:
- Testing and maintaining boats, trailers, and survey equipment to ensure full operational readiness (Full training provided on industry-specific equipment)
- Complete tasks in line with the planned maintenance schedule
- Diagnose and identify causes of operational issues and faults
- Source and order replacement parts; consult schematics and technical documentation as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and documentation
