To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Building and Real Estate Division. SOCOTEC's Building Control and Building Regulations consultancy services provide an award-winning, flexible and forward-thinking approach, as well as a high level of technical capability, providing our clients with cost-effective and practical solutions for the full range of building safety and compliance challenges.
We're looking for a Business Developer responsible for driving business growth and expanding our Building Control services within the South of England, initially focusing on our offices in Horsham, Chichester & Fleet.
Responsibilities- Identifying and securing new business opportunities with developers, architects, contractors, local authorities, and building owners
- Developing strategic partnerships and framework agreements to secure long-term contracts and repeat business
- Preparing compelling fee proposals, presentations, and tender submissions aligned with client requirements
- Working collaboratively with technical teams to deliver compliant solutions from initial engagement through to project completion
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the construction or Building Control sector
- Strong understanding of Building Regulations, Building Safety Act, and statutory requirements including BSR submission frameworks
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Track record of achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth, and delivering successful client outcomes
- Associate or full membership of CABE, RICS, CIOB, or equivalent professional body (or working towards)
