The Key Account Manager – Construction services will be responsible for managing and developing strategic relationships with our top 5–10 key accounts in the Construction services sector focusing on the Materials Testing services. This role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional relationship management skills, and the ability to drive revenue growth through effective account management and business development initiatives.
Primary target clients for existing revenue growth are main Tier 1 construction contractors such as Kier, Murphys, Volker, Balfour Beatty. While an understanding of Materials testing is not required, experience in the construction/infrastructure industry, especially with the main Tier 1s, is beneficial.
Qualifications- Proven track record (minimum 5–7 years) in strategic account management, preferably in the Construction / Infrastructure sector
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex client relationships and driving significant revenue growth
- Experience in leading successful bid and tender processes for major contracts
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalise on business opportunities
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence across all levels of an organisation
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry
- Experience in Materials / Construction / Infrastructure sector
- Understanding of risk management and compliance frameworks
- Project management qualifications or experience
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
- Results-driven with a focus on exceeding targets
- Exceptional relationship builder with strong interpersonal skills
- Collaborative team player who works effectively across organisational boundaries
