As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will support the specification, delivery, and ongoing management of advanced monitoring systems across a diverse portfolio of high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers exposure to a broad range of hardware and software technologies from multiple suppliers, with a strong focus on integrating these into robust, end-to-end monitoring solutions. You will progressively develop hands‑on expertise in designing, building, and troubleshooting systems both in the laboratory and on live project sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design, specification, and deployment of monitoring systems across multiple projects.
  • Integrate hardware and software from various suppliers into cohesive system architectures.
  • Assist with the build, configuration, and commissioning of systems in both lab and field environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and system‑level issues to ensure reliable performance.
  • Support the maintenance and optimisation of online data platforms, ensuring accurate and timely data delivery to clients.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of firmware and system interfaces linking on‑site hardware to cloud‑based systems.
  • Collaborate closely with site teams, project managers, and commercial teams to deliver solutions across the full project lifecycle.
About You
  • Background or experience in electrical systems engineering (academic or industry‑based).
  • Basic programming capability (e.g. scripting or embedded systems knowledge) is advantageous.
  • A structured and analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working both hands‑on in the field and analytically in a technical environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
