Quantity Surveyor
As our company grows, we are expanding our teams and have a great opportunity for a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join our Advisory Division.
SOCOTEC Advisory is a chartered quantity surveying and expert witness consultancy, renowned for its industry-recognised experts and quality services. Our team of approximately 60 quantity surveyors covers a broad spectrum of experience, enabling us to deliver services across various sectors including residential, infrastructure, marine, in both public and private sectors.
We seek a proactive, reliable, and flexible Quantity Surveyor aiming to lead on commercial activities in construction projects.
The tasks you will undertake, with some supervision and training, include:
- Assist in establishing client requirements and undertake cost planning exercises.
- Develop understanding and opinions on procurement strategies.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including ITT packs for review by senior staff.
- Value completed works and arrange payments as per contracts.
- Draft project or claim reports under supervision.
- Issue notices according to contractual terms.
- Communicate confidently with project or client teams.
- Prepare draft final accounts.
- Understand ADR methods.
To succeed, you should demonstrate:
