Overview
Occupational Hygienist – East Kilbride/Scotland. Ready to Elevate Your Career in Occupational Hygiene? SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is looking for a Qualified or Part-Qualified Occupational Hygienist to join our Environment & Safety Division.
Responsibilities
- Attend clients\’ operational sites to safely perform scheduled monitoring to determine occupational exposure to dust, fume, noise, vibration and other workplace health hazards
- Prepare detailed technical occupational hygiene reports to SOCOTEC’s high quality standards
- Comply with SOCOTEC’s management systems (Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality)
- Maintain your occupational hygiene continuous professional development (CPD)
Qualifications
- Relevant BOHS / IOA qualifications – (Minimum 1 relevant BOHS module)
- Degree in a science-related field (e.g., Chemistry, Environmental Science, Occupational Hygiene)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal skills to gain the confidence and cooperation of the client’s workforce
- Ability to self-manage workload & deadlines
- Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel and stay overnight when required

From onsite monitoring and sample collection for local businesses and government contracts to consultancy on large, contaminated land projects, we deliver a complete service – covering dust, noise, and exhaust emissions.
