We are looking for a Senior Fire Modelling Engineer to support our ambitious growth plans in the Building and Real Estate Division. The role involves liaising with clients, preparing fee proposals, mentoring junior engineers, and managing projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities
- Preparing technical engineering analysis such as CFD modelling using FDS/PyroSim, Pathfinder, and B-Risk
- Developing and reviewing fire modelling reports and models
- Conducting third-party review and design verification
- Managing client relationships and identifying business development opportunities
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of UK experience in Fire Modelling with extensive CFD modelling expertise
- A postgraduate fire modelling qualification (Master's or PhD) and a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (fire safety, aerospace, mechanical, or similar field)
- Professional registration as Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council, and membership with IFE, CABE, CIBSE, or similar
- Strong technical knowledge of relevant legislation and design guidance including Approved Document B, BS 9999, BS 9991, BS 7974, and NFPA standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work reliably and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
Benefits and Compensation
Competitive salary between £28,000 and £36,000 per annum.
