Water Field Technician – Entry Level, Training Provided
Overview
Water Hygiene Technician – Sussex, Surrey & Greater London. Are you interested in Water Hygiene? This could be your opportunity to excel as a Water Hygiene Technician, as well as playing a vital role in helping our business succeed.
As our company grows and develops, we are expanding our teams. We are looking for a driven, dependable, and flexible Water Hygiene Technician to join our team. You will work efficiently as part of a team and also have the capability to work independently. Travel will be part of your day-to-day role. Primarily, your role will be to monitor client water systems across Sussex, Surrey & Greater London.
Responsibilities
- Legionella compliance monitoring of water systems
- Microbiological water sampling
- General water hygiene tasks, e.g., water outlet flushing, temperature checks, shower cleaning, tank inspections
Qualifications
- Ability to follow set methods and procedures, and use own initiative
- IT literate, particularly with handheld tablets and phones
- Strong ability to communicate with clients
- Ability to pass Enhanced DBS and MOD security clearance checks
- Experience in Legionella compliance monitoring (desirable)
- Working knowledge of ACoP L8 & HSG274 (desirable)
About Water Hygiene
Our Water Hygiene Team is split into two main areas: Water Hygiene and Legionella Risk Assessment. Our Water Hygiene Technicians focus on monitoring water systems in line with regulations, including tank inspections, water temperature monitoring, shower descaling, water sampling, and TMV servicing. Our Legionella Team conducts risk assessments, written scheme audits, and internal quality checks to ensure clients are not using a harmful water supply.
