SOCOTEC Advisory is a chartered quantity surveying and expert consultancy division that delivers expert advice, commercial management and dispute resolution services for complex construction and infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally. Our experienced team of quantity surveyors, forensic expert witnesses and advisory specialists supports clients with cost planning, contract administration, forensic analysis, delay review and expert testimony, helping to reduce risk, resolve disputes and inform strategic decisions.
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Advisory division. The role requires a proactive, reliable and flexible individual with a background in construction and quantity surveying, knowledge of Methods of Measurement and standard Contract Forms.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
- Preparing budget estimates, cost plans and tender documents
- Post-contract valuation, cost report and final account negotiations
- Measure and scale off from drawings and use CostX software
To be a successful Senior Quantity Surveyor, you should be able to demonstrate:
- Willingness to work on secondment and proactive in personal development
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills with competence in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Enthusiastic, keen to learn new skills, gain hands on experience and achieve formal qualifications
