Job Description
We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Fire Engineer to join our Fire Engineering team. In this role, you will need the confidence to work independently, along with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A background in engineering (mechanical, structural, civil or similar field), along with knowledge of fire safety issues and relevant legislation and design guidance such as Approved Document B (ADB), BS 9999, BS 9991 and BS 7974, is essential to thrive in this position.
Responsibilities
- Develop fire safety strategies and associated mark‑ups for various buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Provide advisory support and carry out site visits during construction stage.
- Prepare assessment reports of external wall systems and other technical engineering analysis such as CFD modelling, structural fire engineering using programs such as FDS/PyroSim, Pathfinder, SAFIR, B-Risk.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (mechanical, structural, civil or similar field) and a postgraduate fire engineering qualification (certificate, diploma or masters).
- At least two years' experience in a similar role and demonstrate passion about fire safety.
- Confident communicator, good customer service skills, self‑motivated, able to prioritise and work on own initiative, as well as follow instructions and work as part of a team.
