Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with GPR and utility mapping surveys under supervision
  • Supporting investigative utility surveys and completing basic site paperwork
  • Working alongside surveyors, contractors, suppliers and clients
  • Helping to collate data for utility survey reports
  • Carrying out basic quality checks and assisting in passing data to CAD teams
  • Learning to review survey drawings before client issue
  • Receiving on‑the‑job training and mentoring from experienced surveyors
  • Supporting Project Managers and internal teams where required

Required Qualifications

  • Some experience or exposure to utility surveying, land surveying or related site‑based work
  • Basic understanding of underground utility tracing or GPR (training will be provided)
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable Skills

  • Experience using CAD software
  • Basic Microsoft Word skills
  • Working knowledge or awareness of PAS 128
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., ProQual/NVQ Level 3)
  • SSSTS (not essential)

Travel and Working Hours

Travel across the UK is very common. Candidates must be open to working away from home during the week and to accommodate night or evening shifts as needed.
