We’re hiring a Staff / Principal Platform Engineer to provide deep technical leadership across a modern cloud-native platform within a scaling SaaS / fintech environment. This is a highly hands-on senior engineering role focused on platform architecture, Kubernetes, GitOps, cloud security, reliability and engineering standards. While not a people-management position, the role carries significant technical influence across platform direction, architecture and operational maturity. You’ll work closely with senior engineering leadership to evolve and harden a production-grade AWS platform supporting secure, scalable and repeatable customer environments.

Key responsibilities

  • Driving technical direction across AWS, Kubernetes/EKS and GitOps infrastructure
  • Reviewing and improving platform architecture, resiliency and operational readiness
  • Defining engineering standards across infrastructure, CI/CD, observability and security
  • Leading best practices around Terraform, Argo CD, deployment automation and platform operations
  • Supporting secure multi-environment and SaaS deployment models
  • Improving platform reliability, monitoring, disaster recovery and production hardening
  • Mentoring engineers through design reviews, code reviews and technical guidance

Qualifications

  • Deep AWS and Kubernetes platform engineering experience
  • Strong background operating cloud-native production environments
  • Expertise in infrastructure as code and GitOps practices
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking and resilience
  • Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering standards
  • Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions in fast-moving environments
  • Experience within fintech, regulated SaaS, payments or financial services environments would be highly beneficial
