We\’re Hiring: 2x Permanent Senior Electronics / PCB Test Technicians
Location: Cambridgeshire (On-site)

Are you a hands-on Electronics Technician with a passion for precision, fault-finding, and making a real impact on cutting-edge technology?
We’re working with a fast-growing engineering company at the forefront of next-generation sensor development—used in mission-critical applications across energy, defence, and industrial sectors. They’re now looking to expand their team with two experienced Senior Test Technicians to support ongoing innovation and production.
This is an opportunity to join a tight-knit, collaborative R&D environment where your skills in PCB-level testing, diagnostics, and rework will directly influence the performance and reliability of complex electronic systems.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Performing functional testing on prototype PCBs and assembled units
- Debugging and fault-finding to component level using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, etc.
- Executing and improving test procedures and documentation
- Carrying out precision soldering and rework (including SMD and fine-pitch components)
- Collaborating closely with design engineers to feed back test results and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
- Maintaining detailed test records in support of product validation
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong background in electronics testing and diagnostics, ideally in R&D or low-volume, high-complexity environments
- Hands-on experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, etc.)
- Comfortable reading and interpreting schematics, BOMs, and test plans
- Skilled in rework and soldering to a high standard (IPC desirable but not essential)
- Methodical, detail-oriented approach with excellent documentation habits
Location & Working Environment:
- Based in Cambridgeshire at a modern R&D and production facility
- On-site role with daily collaboration across engineering and manufacturing
- Supportive, knowledgeable team passionate about high-quality engineering
