We’re hiring a Product Engineer for a well-funded, venture-backed RF semiconductor company in Cambridge. They’re building next-generation RF technology for connected devices. High technical bar. Fast pace. No passengers.

The Role

You sit between product definition and engineering delivery. Your job is simple in principle: Make sure complex RF products move from concept to manufacturable, testable, customer-ready hardware — without losing integrity along the way.

You will:

  • Translate customer and system requirements into clear engineering specs.
  • Own product-level performance targets and assumptions.
  • Act as the technical focal point across RF, IC, software, algorithms, test and manufacturing.
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, simulations, measurements and validation.
  • Define validation strategy (lab, OTA, corner cases).
  • Support NPI, DfM, DfT and yield discussions.
  • Help generate datasheets, reference designs and customer documentation.
  • Identify risks early and drive mitigation.

This is not a coordination role. You need technical depth and the confidence to challenge decisions.

What They’re Looking For

  • Degree in Electrical or RF Engineering (or similar).
  • Strong experience with RF systems, RF modules or mixed-signal / analog IC products.
  • Solid understanding of RF measurement, validation and performance trade-offs.
  • Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to turn high-level requirements into executable engineering actions.
  • Structured, organised and comfortable owning outcomes.

Useful Experience

  • RF front-end modules (mobile, IoT, wireless connectivity).
  • Semiconductor or module manufacturing flows.
  • Product lifecycle ownership from prototype to release.
  • Customer-facing technical support.

Environment

Scale-up pace. High ownership. Low bureaucracy. You’ll work closely with engineering, NPI, and commercial teams. If you need layers of process and slow decision cycles, this isn’t it.

Package: Competitive salary + share options + pension. Private medical, life assurance, income protection. 25 days holiday + bank holidays. Flexible working options.
