What will I be doing?
You’ll be involved in the assembly, testing, and development of electrochemical cells – supporting material preparation, running defined test protocols, and maintaining lab standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Assemble and test electrochemical cells and cell stacks
- Prepare lab materials (e.g. membranes, electrolytes – training provided)
- Operate battery/cell test equipment
- Maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement
- Manage lab stock, equipment calibration, and general upkeep
We’re looking for:
- Level 3 qualification (A-Level, NVQ, BTEC) in a science/engineering field, or 5+ years’ lab experience
- Practical experience in engineering, electronics, or R&D labs
- Methodical, safety-first approach with strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and contribute to a small, agile team
- Familiarity with 5S or wet chemistry is a bonus, but not essential
