Socode are supporting a Cambridge-based battery technology company who are looking to hire a
Laboratory Technician
to support their battery testing and development work.
This is a hands-on lab role. You\βll be assembling and testing coin cells, running experiments, and generating data that feeds directly into engineering decisions. The work is practical, on site, and closely tied to day-to-day R&D activity.
This role suits someone who is comfortable working in a laboratory environment, follows procedures properly, and prefers being close to the equipment rather than managing from a distance.
What you\βll be doing
- Assembling and testing coin cells
- Running battery and electrochemical tests
- Following and contributing to test procedures
- Recording, analysing, and reporting test data
- Maintaining lab equipment and test setups
- Writing and updating laboratory SOPs
- Supporting engineers with lab-based testing
