We're partnering with an innovative technology organisation at a pivotal stage of growth, seeking an exceptional Product Director to define the future of a market-leading software platform used by some of the world's most advanced engineering and scientific organisations. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you'll be responsible for defining where the business goes next, shaping product strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and driving commercial growth across both existing and emerging markets. As Product Director, you will own the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for a highly technical software portfolio serving global enterprise and research customers. Working alongside senior leaders across Engineering, Sales, and Technical Services, you'll make the critical decisions around:
- Where the product competes
- Which markets to prioritise
- What gets built (and what doesn't)
- How products are packaged, priced, and commercialised
- How the business successfully expands into new growth markets
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic vision and direct customer engagement, involving:
- Define and execute the long-term product strategy and roadmap
- Identify and prioritise opportunities across established and adjacent markets
- Drive expansion into high-growth technology areas, including AI/ML infrastructure
- Assess market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions
- Make clear prioritisation decisions and trade-offs aligned to business objectives
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience owning product strategy for complex technical software products
- Strong commercial acumen with experience influencing revenue, profitability, pricing, or P&L decisions
- Experience successfully expanding products into adjacent markets or launching new market propositions
- Experience operating at senior leadership level within a technology business
- Strong customer-facing skills with experience engaging senior technical stakeholders
- Ability to make and defend strategic decisions in ambiguous and fast-changing environments
