An innovative engineering consultancy is looking for a talented Embedded Software Engineer to join its growing team in Cambridge.
Working on a diverse range of projects, you'll help turn complex engineering challenges into practical, high-quality technologies that make a tangible difference to patients and clinicians.

The Role
No two projects are the same. You'll develop robust, maintainable software, contribute to technical design decisions and work closely with clients and colleagues to deliver solutions.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Developing high-quality software for innovative devices and systems.
- Contributing to client projects and delivering against agreed technical objectives.
- Engaging directly with clients, communicating technical information clearly to both engineering specialists and non-technical stakeholders.
- Taking ownership of your work, managing priorities and contributing to the successful delivery of projects.
What They're Looking For:
- You'll ideally have a degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related engineering discipline, alongside 2–5 years of commercial software development experience.
- Commercial software development experience inC and/or C++; experience with both is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of Python for scripting, tooling and test automation.
- Embedded software development, including RTOS or bare-metal programming.
- Hardware interfacing, electronics bring-up and system testing.
You don't need to tick every box. A strong foundation in software development, a willingness to learn and an interest in engineering high-quality products are what matter most.
