System Administrator | South Cambridge | Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)
I'm currently working with an established technology company based on the outskirts of South Cambridge that is looking to add a System Administrator to its growing infrastructure team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with an impressive client portfolio, working in a collaborative environment where you'll play a key role in maintaining and developing critical infrastructure.
The Role
- Implementing, maintaining, and managing server racks, internal networks, power, and cabling.
- Installing and configuring customer equipment.
- Maintaining infrastructure documentation and physical inventory using Git.
- Troubleshooting Linux systems, networking, and test automation environments.
- Deploying and maintaining core infrastructure, including switches, PDUs, and UPS systems.
What We're Looking For
- Linux systems administration experience.
- Solid networking knowledge, including VLANs, routing, link aggregation, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with network cabling, routing, and firewalls.
- Understanding of rack installation best practices, including cabling, power distribution, and equipment placement.
- A hands‑on approach with strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
