Do you like diagnosing issues, digging into hardware and software, and seeing a problem through to resolution?

We're supporting an innovative technology company operating in the defence, government and telecom sectors, currently going through a period of strong growth.

They're looking for a technically sound Graduate RF Support Engineer to join their Cambridge team, providing first-line support across a product line that spans specialist hardware and software.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing first-line technical support to customers on an industry leading hardware/software product line, covering signal and sensor technology, analysis tooling, and network diagnostics.
  • Explaining complex technical issues and solutions clearly to customers.
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues first-hand, escalating where necessary.
  • Reviewing and developing technical documentation.
  • Working closely with engineering teams to feed back on recurring or complex issues.
  • What this isn't -

Just a technical support role where you respond to tickets in a message.

You'll be wired in, simulating issues to fix bugs/problems and working first hand on complex technologies, as well as working closely with the development and sales teams to ensure product lines, both existing and in development, are up to scratch and problem free.

As such, a background in electronics/RF technology is essential for this position.

What we're looking for

  • Good grounding in RF fundamentals.
  • A curiousmindset with a passion for technology (this could be shown through employment or hobbies)
  • Comfortable working hands-on with both hardware and software.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail for non-technical audiences.
  • Prior support or helpdesk experience. desirable
  • Basic exposure to Linux and networking. desirable
