Socode are supporting a company that designs and builds specialist electronic sensing and surveillance systems, used in defence, security, and critical infrastructure environments. Their work sits at the intersection of hardware, software, and real-world deployment, with systems designed to operate reliably in demanding conditions.
They’re looking to hire a Production Technician to support the build, test, and repair of these systems. This is a genuinely hands-on role. You’ll be working directly with electronic hardware, supporting production builds and helping engineers with prototypes, investigations, and fixes when things don’t behave as expected.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building and testing electronic assemblies and complete systems
- Setting systems up, running tests, and checking performance
- Fault-finding and repairing units when issues arise
- Supporting production and return repairs
- Helping engineers with prototype builds and investigations
- Putting together simple test setups or jigs when needed
- Keeping build and test records up to date
- Feeding back issues and improvements to the wider team
- Keeping tools, equipment, and your work area in good order
