I am currently recruiting for a market leader in the field of critical communications. Their focus is on providing high quality products to a demanding, mission critical client base, which includes the police, paramedics, sea rescue, major airports, large mining facilities and utilities or oil and gas plants located in hazardous environments.
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the team on a contract basis. You will be involved in the whole lifecycle of complex new product development projects involving Hardware and Software from concept to volume production whilst managing risks, budgets, personnel, and objectives.
Key Skills Needed:
- 7-10 years’ experience leading development project teams in a multi-discipline environment on complex product development projects and programmes, using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience of projects which have both HW and SW dependencies.
- Experience managing and delivering software for embedded, platform and application product solutions in an Agile environment.
- Experience with development software configuration and continuous integration workflows.
- Understanding of the interdependencies between software and hardware elements and how to successfully deliver integrated product solutions.
- Wider understanding of product development and realisation principles (Embedded software, Electronics) and methodologies to facilitate best practice for product design and development.
- Documentation of project management processes and an ability to contribute to the optimisation, improvement, and maintenance of existing processes.
- Experience using Statement of Work and Procurement Specifications while engaging with external design and solution providers to meet technical, commercial and manufacturing requirements.
- Extensive experience of motivating teams and individuals to deliver.
This contract will be 3 months long with the possibility of an extension depending on business needs, and the suitable candidate will ideally have an immediate start date. The contract is Outside IR35 and offering a rate of £40-£50 p/h. The position will be full time onsite, based out of their North Cambridge office.
