Working Environment: Hybrid (2 days on-site per week)

The company is a leading financial data and analytics company and they are looking to hire a Software Engineer into one of their data distribution engineering teams. This role focuses on building and maintaining systems that efficiently distribute data to customers across multiple delivery methods. You will contribute to the design, development, automation, and reliability of data infrastructure and workflows, whilst working in close collaboration with product and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analysis and implementation of features in the data distribution platform.
  • Ensure system reliability by implementing company and industry best practices.
  • Implement workflow management software to automate operational tasks and optimize the utilisation of infrastructure and applications.
  • Design and implement CI/CD workflows to maintain software quality via continuous and automated deployment and testing.
  • Evaluate and adopt relevant technologies and tools.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in computer science or other STEM degree plus relevant programming experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering, with proficiency programming in Python on Linux.
  • Exposure to / experience working with cloud and containerisation technologies (AWS & Docker preferred).

Desired, but not essential:

  • Exposure to / experience working with Databricks and/or Snowflake.
