What will I be doing? You'll take ownership of a portfolio of strategic programmes across Operations - from shifting procurement and manufacturing activity overseas, through to improving core systems and processes. Acting as a Technical Program Manager with real visibility, you'll work closely with senior leadership to set up, govern, and deliver complex cross-functional initiatives that directly impact cost, capacity, and margin. You’ll be the person who brings structure, clarity, and momentum to critical programmes - joining the dots between Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, IT, and Finance, and making sure big ideas actually land on the shop floor. This is an influential role where your impact will be felt from day one, with a clear succession path for future progression.
Key responsibilities
- Lead programmes that reshape how and where core components are sourced, including shifting key activities to overseas manufacturing partners.
- Take charge of factory transfer projects, helping scale production capacity as the company grows.
- Coordinate the selection, purchase, and rollout of equipment, making sure facilities are ready to support volume increases.
- Oversee the relocation of specific build and assembly processes to international sites, ensuring smooth handover and operational readiness.
- Develop and maintain clear programme documentation — from delivery plans and business cases to risk logs and progress reports.
- Act as the link between UK functions and global operations, keeping stakeholders aligned and projects moving without a large direct team.
- Promote continuous improvement and use data to shape decisions, track performance, and drive better outcomes.
We're looking for:
- Educated to degree level in Engineering, Business, Programme Management or similar.
- Solid experience delivering cross-functional programmes in manufacturing, industrial tech, or similar technical environments.
- Hands-on exposure to production moves, facility set-up, or international manufacturing transitions (ideally including Asia).
- Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain, including cost reduction, supplier onboarding, and component transfer.
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and navigating cultural and regional differences to build influence.
- Methodical and analytical, with sharp documentation, governance, and risk management skills.
- Pragmatic and hands-on – willing to be on-site when needed and travel internationally to get things over the line.
- Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, or other operational improvement tools would be beneficial.
