A global engineering organisation is expanding its Cambridge-based team and is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to help develop a new generation of advanced electronic control units. This is a hands-on role where you'll develop safety-critical embedded software for prototype and production systems, working closely with software, systems and hardware engineers to deliver robust solutions that meet demanding customer and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain embedded software for prototype and production systems
- Work across requirements, software architecture, detailed design, implementation, unit testing, integration and validation
- Develop high-quality embedded C software for real-time applications
- Perform software validation through simulation, on-target testing, bench testing, HIL and within the final system
- Ensure software development adheres to quality, safety, security and cybersecurity processes
My client is particularly interested in engineers with experience developing embedded software within automotive, aerospace, medical or another safety-critical environment.
- Strong C programming skills for safety-critical embedded applications
- Strong understanding of real-time embedded programming
- Understanding of compilers, linkers, Makefiles and software build processes
