Our client is looking for a Contract RF Engineer to join their team to support the development and validation of next-generation wireless communication systems. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on discrete RF design across both transmit and receive paths, with a particular emphasis on frequency generation and VCO design. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary product development team, contributing across the full lifecycle from circuit design and validation through to integration and debug within a complete end product environment.

KEY TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

  • Recent experience in discrete RF circuit design and validation
  • Strong knowledge of frequency generation and VCO design
  • Experience designing TX and RX circuits within the 400MHz - 900MHz range
  • Understanding of RF component selection, market availability, and obsolescence management
  • Experience working on integrated end products rather than standalone RF modules
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional engineering teams

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • TETRA or PMR communications experience
  • Module or chipset integration/design within the 2GHz - 5GHz range, including LTE
  • EMC debug and troubleshooting experience
