Our client is looking for a Contract RF Engineer to join their team to support the development and validation of next-generation wireless communication systems. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on discrete RF design across both transmit and receive paths, with a particular emphasis on frequency generation and VCO design. You’ll be working as part of a multidisciplinary product development team, contributing across the full lifecycle from circuit design and validation through to integration and debug within a complete end product environment.
KEY TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
- Recent experience in discrete RF circuit design and validation
- Strong knowledge of frequency generation and VCO design
- Experience designing TX and RX circuits within the 400MHz – 900MHz range
- Understanding of RF component selection, market availability, and obsolescence management
- Experience working on integrated end products rather than standalone RF modules
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional engineering teams
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- TETRA or PMR communications experience
- Module or chipset integration/design within the 2GHz – 5GHz range, including LTE
- EMC debug and troubleshooting experience
