Outside IR35 £65 - 80/hour South Cambridge - 2 days on site. Our client is looking for an FPGA Engineer to join their team on an initial 3-month contract to support a medical device programme.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be brought in to stabilise and redirect an FPGA development effort that has gone off track. The initial phase will focus on assessing the current state of the design, providing a clear and honest technical appraisal, and defining a practical path forward.
KEY TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
- JESD204C implementation for coherent multi-channel data acquisition (up to 500Msps)
- High-speed GT transceiver design and integration for multi-channel data paths (>10Gbps)
- 40G/100G Ethernet over fibre for high-throughput data transport
- FPGA-based SoC design including PL to PS DMA datalogging architectures
- Exposure to or willingness to contribute to Linux driver development for data acquisition systems
- Design of resource-constrained, high-throughput FFT and DSP pipelines
- Implementation of FPGA-based system controllers, including board management solutions without reliance on an embedded processor
- Strong experience working with AMD FPGA architectures (Zynq / Ultrascale+ preferred)
